Default kitchen foil

OK, so this is a gumby question and, at nearly 81, I should know the
answer, but.....

.....when using kitchen foil for protection, does the shiny side go
inside or outside? It doesn't say on the box!!!

Thanks,

The reflective surface retains heat by bouncing it back to source.

The satin (or black) surface absorbs heat.

It depends what you want it to do...

Aren't condoms a wee bit small to fit on his head?

It depends who you want the protection from (e.g. C.I.A. or aliens).

Lachie Macquarie.
In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and
bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance.
In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and
peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock. Greene or Welles?

Protecting against what?

Either side - shiny or matte.
Also use it as a pan liner or a pan lid!
