Frae Auld Bob Peffers:
An immigrant is a person who immigrates so from the Concise Oxford Dictionary we have:- immigrate // v. 1 intr. come as a permanent resident to a country other than one's native land. 2 tr. bring in (a person) as an immigrant. immigration / n. immigratory adj. [Latin immigrare (as in-2, migrate)] So Scotland is not the native land of English people. Ergo English residents in Scotland are immigrants to Scotland. Unless you are one of those English idiots who thinks Scotland is part of England that is. Perhaps you also use UK, England and UK as mutually conclusive? The UK is composed of four countries formed into one political state and who have a common monarch. Do you also thing of the queen as only Queen of England? Do you think Westminster is England's Parliament? Do you think the Union Flag is the Flag of England? Wake-up to the real World. Get it Englanders are foreigners in Scotland and Scots are foreigners in England. We are two different countries. Now run along and troll someone else little Englander. -- Aefauldlie, Auld Bob Peffers, bob@peffers50.freeserve.co.uk http://www.peffers50.freeserve.co.uk/ --- Aa ootgannin screivings maun hae nae wee beasties wi thaim..
