Worst Possible Meal

Okay, it's almost complete - thank yous to those who've made such
*helpful* suggestions.
The only thing left to fill in the menu is an approprate wine to go
with the Fowl course.

Soup - Birdsnest soup
Appetizers - Hawgjowls, blood pudding, black olives stuffed with
anchovies, Tengu clam jerky
Fish - Lutefisk garnished with 100-year-old eggs
- Wine - Retsina
Salad - boiled turnip greens and rhubarb
- Wine - MadDog 2020
Fowl - Roast Snowgoose, stuffed with okra, on a bed of
Indonesian-style fermented rice
- Wine -
Meat - Steak tartare prepared Mongolian-horde style
- Wine - anything Crimean
Palate Cleanser - Tofu-wrapped Herring heads stuffed with Cod livers
Dessert - Greek sheepfat/sugar candy
- Wine - French pink champagne
Nuts - pickled walnuts in aspic

Hmm. That bad, huh?

What's so bad about this? I've never heard of it.

The okra sounds quite good to me!

Sorry I can't help you with a wine suggestion. I don't drink wine.

Durian is delicious! It only smells bad, but it tastes like vanilla
custard.

Why is it that, stuff I would NEVER want to eat is described as 'like
custard' if a fruit, and 'like chicken' if an animal or insect?
Maybe there's some sort of secret code or symbolism - both custard and
chicken begin with 'c', they are both 2 syllable words, they each have
seven letters.........

Durian season here is a big deal; the shops are packed with Chinese
all trying to pick out the freshest and most delicate.

Well that's it, then - seven is a magic number.

My raspberries are doing well, and the apples (on a couple of dwarf trees -
easy to pick) are beginning to blush - they should be ready in a few
weeks. I do a very nice apple-raspberry 'strudel', using rough puff
pastry, and served with whipped cream, sweetened with sugar which has had
vanilla pods stored in it.
