I don't believe that a vaccine has yet been developed for SARS.
I had my flu shot last week, and will be getting the one for pneumonia this
week.

If someone has already mentioned this, I may have missed it.......but,
are pneumonia shots good for ten years? A friend mentioned that on the
phone the other day, and it was the first I'd heard such a thing.

That's what two different doctors told me.

I've been told that they're good for a _minimum_ of 5 years.

I don't know. Did they? I must have missed it, and that's what
prompted my question.

A 'one-off' thing isn't the same as once every ten years, the way I've
been hearing lately. In any event, I have at least six or seven years
before I need to find out the answer for sure.

Well now, we've heard 5 years, 10 years, and a 'one off' thing. I'll
amend what I remarked to Auld Bob just now, and say that I won't have to
concern myself about it for at least another year or two.

One of my sons has 'walking pneumonia' right now. (The father of the
new twins).

Frae Auld Bob Peffers:
I had a leaflet popped through the letter box from the Scottish Executive,
(Parliament), about the Flu+pneumonia jab. You get one in one arm and the
other in the other arm at the same time, (or rather at the same
consultation). I just searched for it and could not find it. I may have
binged it. It is 00:40 so I am not going out to the dustbin, (trashcan), to
find it. I'm tired tonight or rather this morning. I have had little sleep
so I am looking to a good sleep. Goodnight all, (Err! Morning! Yawn!).

I'll ask the nurse about it on Friday, when I go to get mine.

Poor guy. Absolutely the last thing he and his new family need. \
