Default Life-saving surgery on Paki girl ignored by Paki press

Just because it was performed by Kaffir doctors in a the land
of the unbelievers. Talk about ingrates!

HEALING THE HEARTS

Letter in Dawn, July 20

It was heart-warming to see baby Noor Fatima undergo a heart surgery
successfully in Bangalore. Most Indian newspapers reported it as a
step (though small) towards friendship with Pakistan. All Indians felt
deeply for her and prayed for a successful operation and recovery.

But this did not get as much attention from the Pakistan media and the
news was either missing or very briefly and casually stated in the
Pakistan newspapers. This operation was important not just because
Fatima is a Pakistani girl who was successfully operated upon in India
(previously also many such Pakistani kids have been treated in India),
but that at only two-and-a-half years of age she had holes in her
heart and also because she was one of those who specially came
travelling to India last Friday by the first bus of the resumed New
Delhi-Lahore bus service.

And the high hopes of her parents did not go stray. Moreover, every
small step towards breaking the ice counts at this stage when the two
countries are setting the right mood.

Will you low class Hindus stop talking about this. It was just a simple
surgery, but you have been bitching and moaning about it for weeks now. Talk
about low class.

Hindu doctors were only practicing the art of medicine brought to them by
the Muslims.

I only deal with the truth, and my conscience is clear. The way you Hindus
are using this story is pretty sad. Yes, it is a heart warming story that a
little girl goes over to her enemies to be treated, and the enemies who are
known killers of innocent Muslim children actually treated her without
killing her. It is like the vegetarian sharks in Nemo. However, it still
does not mean that Hindu religion is better than Islam. In fact such a
comparison is idiotic and shows shallowness of those who carry on in that
direction.

Also, Muslims invented hospitals and it was Muslims who discovered the link
between the germs and diseases while the rest of the world thought it was
the work of the evil gods that made people sick. Muslim brought the medical
know-how to India later on. It is a collective world we live in, Hindus
shouldn't be blowing their own trumpet over this surgery.

I never talked about any Hindu-Muslim comparison of religions here.
Only topic of this thread was how Pakistani press ignored the incident.

All of your cock-n-bull religious propaganda that you have spewed below
has no significance to me.
Stop living in the life of xenophobia.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/education/medic...t/mahtfc.shtml

By the 12th century, the city of Baghdad had 60 hospitals, while
London had just one
there were also hospitals in Cairo and Damascus and in the Spanish
cities of Granada, Seville and Cordoba
Islamic hospitals had separate wards for different diseases, training
wings, convalescent rooms for the aged and terminally ill as well as
stores of drugs and treatments.

Gulloo,

Banwidth has a inverse dimenion of time. 1.5MB denotes only a space.
Next time you write BW, do not forget to mention MB/s or MBps or Mbps.

If you do not know the differences beween temporal and spatial
dimensions, you should try to go to high-school.
Good luck.

p.s. our university was looking to recruit some cleaning people. Are you
interested?
