"Renowned artist Willem Boshoff will exhibit a collection of Boer
War installations at Constitution Hill until 16 November. The work, referred to by Boshoff as "God save the Queen", explores the atrocities of the Boer War, especially those committed against women and children. One of the important works Boshoff will be exhibiting, entitled "32 000 Darling Little Nuisances", is an 8,4m installation that examines the death of children in the Boer War. The title is adapted from a quote by Queen Victoria, queen of England when the war began, who said, "Children are such darling little things, but they can be a terrible nuisance." The exhibition will officially open on 26 October when the renowned British historian, Thomas Pakenham, will present a talk on the Boer War at the Old Fort on Constitution Hill. For more info, contact Rafiq Asmal on 011 880 2567 or 072 273 2946 or e-mail on Rafiq@ochre.co.za. " I haven't been out to the new Constitution Hill yet. This might be a suitable opportunity.
