The Interpol Section of the Turkish Police Force declared that they are
looking for 636 people partying to crimes in Turkey mostly Turks. Some 645
Turks partying to crimes in other countries are sought by foreign
authorities via Interpol.
According to the declarations from the Police Office Spokesperson, 156 of
636 people partying to crimes in Turkey are wanted for committing public
crimes, 279 of them are for terror crimes, 148 for smuggling and 53 for
financial crimes. Among these, 428 people are wanted on a red notice, 112
with request and 96 with a direct request. The Interpol Section of the
Turkish Police Force also issued 37 "Yellow Notices" to find lost people and
11 "Black Notices" to determine the identities of dead bodies. This year 25
people wanted by judicial authorities were extradited to Turkey.
Some 298 of 645 people partying to crimes abroad are wanted by foreign
authorities via Interpol for committing public crimes, 292 for smuggling, 51
for financial crimes and four for terror crimes.
According to the records of Interpol Secretariat General, 17,310 people are
sought on the international level via Interpol. For 7,768 a red notice and
for 9,542 requests were issued.
It was reported that Turkish citizens commit crimes in international
narcotics smuggling mostly in Europe, and among these countries Germany
comes first with 64 percent and Austria second with six percent.
