The problem is not with the question whether God exists or not.
But with man's interpretation of what God is.
Every religion has its own interpretation.

If God exists, are you saying that if he does exist, then
automatically
he must and has to be Allah and that all that appears
in the Quran are the TRUE teachings revealed through the supposedly
one and only messenger, who also claimed that he is the final prophet
?.

If god do exist, then why not some other concept of religion be
assumed to
be the word
of God instead of Islam and Quran ?
Perhaps it may be another religion that says just go ahead , work
hard,
learn , absorb knowledge and science, question the conventional ,
debunk
tradition,
explore your mind and so on.

That is where this stupidity starts. Not with God's existence or
absence.
But, at the very first strike on the chord about accepting the
existence of
God,
then the automatic claim that God has to be this Allah and only what
is in
the
Quran should be considered as the truth and true teachings.

Question that issue first. But here, the Quran is ********. Do not
question
the Quran, the word of God. See ?. The mind is already put into a
concrete block. No escape for the believers who think like ' hey lets
not
take chances man, play safe, what if god really exists ?' kind of
thing. After that its holy war.

Come off it. Why can't you muslim guys muster up the courage and
determination
to question all these things written in the Quran, instead of trying
to
spend energy
and time arguing with people of other faiths. Islamic teachings have
an
urgent
need to be debated and questioned, not by outsiders, but by the
faithfuls
who are
forced to trap themselves into this circular logic.

There is a desperate need for people like Salman Rushdie.

Precisely. Let the beleivers of Islam beleive that.
And let the others beleive in their interpretation.

But when the beleivers of Islam start believing 'faithfully' that

are all infidels and need to be corrected, then that belief
need to be censored as unacceptable to them.
There is no need for any onus to prove that part of Quran is wrong.
Just reject it outright and show the boot to such faithful beleivers.


Why should that be ?. Others who want to believe in something else
are not asking the Islamic followers to prove that their Islam is the

religion. Do they ?. What logic is that of yours that say that they

to prove the existence of the real true god or must follow Islam.
Does Islam prove anything , except that some one claims he saw
god who then revealed to him his existence and that is the final
truth.
It is only blind faith , to put it bluntly. Beyond that where is the proof ?

Then why this emphasis on the afterlife and your claim that perhaps
these people are merely playing safe to shun material objectives of this world.

The same applies to your claim too about Islam. An Opinion.
So let the question remain unanswered. That is the way it should be.

I am saying that if God exists, then it is not necessarily as that
interpreted by the Quran and the final prophet. Thats all.
We are not debating the unaswerable question about the existence
of god. But rather the assertion that Islam has the right selection
of the god in question..if ever there is one.

Yes, leave it at that. Better tell this to the fanatical muslim clergy
who does not seem to get this message.

I enjoy a good discussion sans the need to throw accusations,
name calling. It seems you are unable to stay in any discussion
thread without getting emotional and when you are unable to
apply rational rebuttals, resort to name calling and incoherence.
