Zionist army arrested 4,540 Palestinian workers last month

Nablus - Shaher Saad, secretary general of the Palestinian trade
unions, has said that the Zionist army had arrested 4,540 Palestinian
workers over the past month.
Saad said that the laborers, more than 1,500 of whom were still behind
bars, were arrested in ambushes set up at the border crossings.
He added that the Zionist soldiers routinely beat up those jobseekers,
citing statistics prepared by the trade union as indicating that more
than 3,000 workers were manhandled by Zionist occupation soldiers.
Saad said that due to the workers' illegal presence within the green
line (Palestinian lands occupied in 1948) they usually accepted very
low wages.
He explained that more than 7,000 laborers working in the green line
were paid 50% less than the minimum limit of wages in the Zionist
entity.
The secretary general said that Palestinian workers were paid around
300 dollars monthly while many of them were victims of deception at
the hands of Zionists.
