Default 99 Dodge Ram Magnum

I/m having trouble with the engine cutting out momentarily at about
1650 rpm. It has also started happening when starting out after a
stoplight. I have not been able to recreate this. It runs along fine
at 2000 - 2200. I have changed the spark coil, and the throttle
position sensor. Does anybody have any ideas or similar experiences?
I hate to take it to the dealer and have them throw parts at it at my
expense. They changed the computer about 6 months ago when I had it
in to have the intake manifold replaced. I think this may be when it
started. I have about 62k miles on it.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim Monahan

I'm still runnung the original plugs. The problem is getting worse,
as it quit as I was turning a corner to my street this pm. I'm hoping
if I give the dealership enough info, they will be able to find the
problem this time. I have had it there 2 other times for similar
problems and they really didn't find anything. Just changed
everything in sight and then charged me up the a** for it but there
was never any good resolution of the problem.

Jim,
My father had a 98 Ram that had similiar symptoms. His though were
a week after he bought the truck new. Mostly the engine cut out as he
approaced the stop light, or coming to a hault to turn. The dealer
took it in and determined it was the Maf Sensor (I think that's how
it's spelled). Even though it was so new I would imagine something
like that could happen later in the truck's life. Just a idea

Jim,
Let us know what you find out. Have a 97 Ram 1500 4x4
that does the same thing.
Thanks

Check your plugs. I had a similar situation that was resolved with
replacing the plugs. I'm anticipating your (plug) gaps to be to large
as mine were. I chucked the champions completely and it was smooth
as new.
