1999 dodge ram 1500 pickup?

thanks

Not really. I wanted to do it but that would be dangerous with my 5 speed
since I like to leave it in gear. I think that my wife would not be too
happy with me pushing a button and the truck coming into the house to "pick
me up" ;-)

Then again, T Bone, it may depend on where you are sitting/standing, when it
comes through the house. <bg>

I'll start watching reality TV shows, when I can vote people off the planet.

theres two shops here in NH i found that will do it, its a little more than an
automatic tranny vehicle, but my quote ended up being the same as most vehicles
cuz i dont have an alarm system or power locks to deal with, last quote i got
this past summer including the remote starter itself was 375 bucks

Perhaps you might want to ask them how they are going to do that and let me
know.

few

How do they accomplish this? A plate with some micro switches that goes
over/around the shifter?

It would be slick on a truck with an electronic transfer case. The unit
could shift the T-case into neutral, then start the vehicle. When the
clutch safety switch gets engaged (ie. driver steps on the clutch), it could
relinquish T-case control back to the dash controls, reverting back to the
previous setting.
