The biggest quirk would be the weak and often blown intake plenum gasket.
The intake uses a bellypan, sealed with a crappy gasket that sometimes collapses and allows the intake to suck in oil from the lifter valley. This results in carbon in the combustion chambers, leading to pinging. The fix is to pull the manifold, remove the gasket, and replace it with RTV. Not a huge job, but a mild PITA. Bal-what? Nah... the computer controls the voltage that gets deliveredto the coil. Auto or manual?
