Glad we had a chance to chat on Sunday. I thought we had built some
measure of rapport, so I am still not sure what I did to piss you guys
off so badly that you wouldn't think it necessary to let me know what
was going on with that ill-fated rod. Nor am I sure what caused you to
start ignoring my e-mail (I don't really expect you to acknowledge this
one). My only complaint in this entire transaction concerns customer
service, not your high standards in deciding to keep a bad rod out of
circulation. When Jeff told me the rod would ship, I waited nearly two
weeks before squawking to the Winston web site, and only did it then
because I was convinced the rod had been left on my porch by UPS and
someone had taken it. I hope the misunderstandings are straightened out.
After having a rod rejected four times by quality control, I am
looking forward to using one of your beautiful creations one of these days.
