Check out "Smithsonian" magazine at the library. A recent issue (with
the Aztec stuff on the cover... I don't have it handy to check the
month) discussed the issue of "bush meat" (the sale of primates and
other protected species for food) and the problems associated with it.

Two or three years ago there was a picture in National Geographic of a
fellow with a monkey he had smoked in the diesel exhaust of a river boat.

Opossum hang from their tail (like a monkey) but.... not a monkey.
However.... opossum are the only marsupial in North America, now that's
neat don't you think?
Want some smoked 'possum? Jerky?
Easy to get, mean as heck when forced to fight, wicked teeth, but really not
all too smart.

And of course you know, as does at least 40% of all americans, that Africa
is not a country.
