Default Some Dutch fishies (bream)

Hi all,
It's been a long time without real postings for me, it's about time to
delurk again. The bream are on their spawning 'run' over here, had some
nice sizeble fish last weekend. Not exactly what you'd call gamefish,
but nice to catch on light gear.
Me with bream - http://home.planet.nl/~nijla141/Herman_bream.jpg

Default Some Dutch fishies (trout)

Indeed. An hour after entering the site I finally managed to rip my
eyes off it and get back to the newsgroup. Thanks, Herman.

Often taunted by trout.
Only a fool would refuse to believe in luck. Only a damn fool would rely on it.

They look like very strong fish. Do they put up a strong fight for their
size?

If only :-). Their nickname is 'wet towel', which actually doesn't
really do them justice. On light material they can put up a decent
fight, especially in running water. When they're up for spawning they
seem to develop some extra 'umph' and are more aggressive.
Still, I don't mind catching them..
