Default Syringes and Bass Competition (bass)

First off the guy is a jerk. Littering is my number one bitch about a lot
of outdoorsmen. I've even taken one guy back to the dock and put him ashore
during a tournament refusing to let him back in my boat after he
deliberately tossed trash in the river. If you know hime tell him Bob la
Londe called him a jerk.

However, there is probably nothing nefarious about his having syringes in
his boat. When bass (and other fish) are brought up from deeper water the
gases in their swim bladder expand, and can harm or even kill the fish. A
syringe needle is used to release that pressure for the better survivability
of the fish.

Here is a link to one article about fizzing bass.
