Default Examples needed for flies for Silver(Coho) Salmon, rainbows and Dolly Varden (fly sea trout)

I am very much interested in finding a list with pictures of selected
fly patterns that would be used to catch Silver Salmon more
specifically in the Kodiak Island area of Alaska. I plan to visit the
area in early September and want to be prepared for patterns that will
be useful on rivers below lakes that reach the sea. I will be mostly
fishing closer to the lake area. Dolly Varden and resident Rainbow
trout inhabit the river as well. I would also like to target them on
occasion.

Many thanks,

Hi there,

Have you ever been to Kodiak? If not...be prepared for probably the craziest
dolly varden fishing you will ever experience. When these fish come into the
river from the ocean it's like you can literally walk on massive schools of
dollies working their way upstream. Non stop action.

As for catching them I have had a lot of success using black and purple egg
sucking leeches. I have also used leeches on the silver salmon with good
success, some people prefer other flies..here are a couple sites I would
recommend looking over.

www.alaskaoutdoorjournal.com and www.alaskaflyfishingonline.com

Good luck.
