In article <db2dnfh8wPYTDFKiU-KYiA@is.co.za>, "Johan Wagener" <pil
(nospam)@webmail.co.za> spouted forth into uk.rec.cars.modifications... Yes it is possible. But no, I doubt it is worth it, cost wise it will probably be on pare with the value of the car, if not greater. -- Carl Robson (The poster formerly known as Skodapilot) http://www.bouncing-czechs.com |

Okay.
Well, you either have a CVH 1.6, which is an eight valve donk, running on a single carb, until 1992. Or you may have a fuel injected CVH 1.6 with 108 PS. /Nerdy/ You may even have an early mark four 1.6S, which came with the CVH 1.6i litre donk, the only mark four Escort with that engine, otherwise it was a mark three XR3i. Or you'll have a 1.6 16v Zetec (or Zetec-E for the pedants) on 1992-onwards 1.6 Escorts, which come with fuel injection I think we need to establish what you have first! ![]() But if it's a CVH carb model, probably not, although it'll depend what you want from the vehicle. -- The DervMan www.dervman.com |

Do take note of such things. A few days ago I was discussing Escort
options with steve, and we couldn't agree on what did or did not exist. Eventually we realized he was talking about the UK market but I had a US Escort. Quite a different beast, it turns out. -D -- A wise servant will rule over a disgraceful son, and will share the inheritance as one of the brothers.
