Three out of four of the power door locks on my granddaughter’s 1994 Ford
Tempo GL work but the driver’s side does not although it looks and sounds
like it is locking properly. When you press the lock button on the inside
of the driver’s door the lock peg on the door goes up and down as it is
supposed to but the door does not lock. The same thing happens when you
use the door key instead. I suspect some sort of linkage inside the door
is not working as it should and that you have to remove the decorative
door covering to get at it. Unless I have come to the wrong conclusion I
have to find out how to remove the door covering and what I should to look
for. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much.
