Ford Focus ZX4-2005

Headlight suddenly went to the down position, pointing low. The
adjustment screw seems to have broken loose? It appears to work but no
headlight movement occurs. My 'guess' is that the screw weld has broken
where it attaches to the headlamp interior fixture.

Just looking at what is involved scares me. It looks like half the
front end has to be taken apart.

Does anyone have a clue as to what happened and what is involved in a fix?
