Default Original GUI?

Where is the setting to revert to the original AO GUI? I'm checking
back in on the game on the free 30 day return trial.

They phazed the old GUI out about 18 months ago, until then, you could use
both, but as new features were added to the game, they weren't available in
the old GUI... Somewhere during the shadowloands patches, shortly before AI
was release I think, the old GUI was disabled completely.

To be honest, I loved the old GUI and when the new one came along, it was
somewhere around 8 months after the new GUI was introduced that I finally
switched. After customizing it, and they have put the roll-up windows back
on the right hand side now, and you can dock/undock all most of the windows
there, so it acts a lot like the old GUI.

I also turn off the "wings" menus at the bottom left/right and just use the
mini-toolbar button on the roll-up window. now that it is customised, I
much prefer the new GUI, but it was a long and painful time for the
old-school users.

Which feature(s) of the old GUI do you need that the new one doesn't
provide? Let me know and I'll try and help you configure the new GUI.

Apart from the locations of the NCU and Stats windows, and a tabbed chat
window (normal chat, junk channels (seeking team, tower wars etc.) and
battle junk), I have the set-up looking pretty much like it did in the
original GUI - and the reason the stats and NCU windows aren't in the
roll-up dockbar on the right is that I like them where I've put them now. I
don't think I'd want to go back, even though it took me a long time to drop
the old GUI...

Thanks, I got it all sorted out after someone told me the old GUI was
no longer available.

Are there any good city map web sites? I used to rely on AO Bashers
but they sank without a trace. Finding the shops I needed was always a
pain in the ass, apparently the secret of the phone book was lost
sometime between now and the AO future (one thing that Neocron did
right was their shop finder interface).

Never used a city map, sorry. I just got to a city and had a look around. At
least the shops have proper names these days, as opposed to just
"General"...
