Default BF2 unstable. Overheated PC ??

I wonder whats the best solution for my PC. Its unstable, a bit warm. I have
3 air fans. Whats the best configuration. Should 1 fan blow air in the case
and 2 blow heated air out. Or should 2 fans blow cool air in the case and 1
blows heated air out.

have you tried just popping one cover off your PC? Are you sure that
BF2 is failing because of temps? Are you o/clocking?

Different places will say different things, but generally accepted is to
have more fans blowing IN than OUT. But also if you havnt had your
machine apart recently, pull it apart and ensure all airflow pathways
are free of dust and rodent nests (im not kidding, ive seen it) and also
that drive cables are not hindering clear air flow. Some people like
myself also like to put some sort of filter in front of the fans to keep
excess dust out of the case, just be sure to clean or replace said
filter regularly.

yeah mc is right here.. there are as many different strategies to cooling as
there are people in the world.

case fans - builders usually say drawing cool air from front to back,
acrossed the chip helps draw air out.
I also have a fan on top of my case to draw hot air up as
it rises. My side panel has two 80mm fans right in front of the cooler.

cpu fan - are you sure the CPU fan is doing its job well enough ?
switching to a heat pipe style or one with copper base and fins really
helps. I
switched to a zalman
silver paste - is your chip/cooler using a silver paste or a contact pad
type thing between the cooler and chip ? any silver paste works better than
a
pad. Artic Silver has dropped temps for me before almost
10c

the chip itself could be one that runs hot. My XP series athlon ran a lot
hotter than my current athlon 4000
