Default Issue 16 moves to Open Beta



Thanks for the heads up. I took the beta for a spin. Very impressed
with the new Electricity powers for scrappers and tankers. The new
automatic sidekicking system is convenient, but I think I will spend
the time before i16 goes live to pair my grav/therm controller with
higher characters as much as I conveniently can. Power leveling gets
really slammed with this feature.
Coloring the powers means you can no longer tell at a glance what kind
of buff someone has put on you. I fear people will go really wild with
this and we will get some pretty absurd scenes. Personally I try to
make my coloring thematic at least.

got a question w/ the sidekicking, does it apply to every team, every
member on a team, every time? I'm wondering if someone can opt-out of
it.

As it is now, you get a question when you join a team that causes your
level to change. If you reject the level change, you are booted off
the team. The same thing happens when you enter a mission, if the
difficulty setting causes a level change. It gets a little annoying -
we already know how to leave a team, thank you devs.
