Is there one? It would be a *real* piss-off to do one as a bit of an
experiment, find you're character is severely nerfed or hamstrung & not be
able to 'undo' the dmg. There really should be a one bubble, or time-limited
'undo' option with Jack Wolfe (at least to go back to the entire previous
setup or 1 last chance to make changes). After all, before 24th level,
you're 'growing up' with your powers, you may blow an enhanc slot or 2 on
duds, but at least you're in tune with the powers. If you've never used a
power b4, picking it in a re-spec is a dangerous gamble, I'm tippin. 10
levels with a char who may have 1 or 2, perhaps primary, powers gimped now
is a surefire way to get a player to give up in disgust.

(Ok, I know - having said that, it's much better than NO respec, but can you
see the danger I'm referring to?

That's what the test server is for. <grin>

I just tried out a Respec on my lvl 28 Inv/SS Tanker. The idea was to
convert him from Super Jump to Teleport/Super Speed. It looked good on
paper but I HATED it!!!

I am so glad I tried it out first. I would have been miserable until
the next Respec...

Look in The Training Room folder on the official forums. All the info
you need on how to access the test server is in a sticky there,
including how to copy your character over. And, actually, that's not
"what it's for", but that is a use for it.

The short answer is no.

But alot of people recommend earning the respec, but before seeing
Jack, copying over to the Test server and experimenting there. I
didn't do that myself because I knew exactly how I wanted to re-spec,
but it's good advice I think.

No, there is no cooling off period.

You do the respec trial and, simulating damage/changes from radiation,
your powers change.
That changes is permanent, at least until you do another respec trial.

If you really want to be sure, do the respec, then copy your toon over
to the test server and try out the changes you're considering there.

You will of course have to set up to access the test server, which may
require a hefty download {does for me which makes it impossible on
dialup.]
Just make sure NOT to put it in the same directory as CoH.

One doesn't get a test drive when one gets ones powers by leveling up,
either. Well, of course, unless one does go the go to test server wish has
been mentioned over and over.
