porn spammer to utter "The Augury is good, the signs say:

well you could use the /ignore_spammer command which ignores them and
reports them.

One of the changes that is in Issue 12, is the ability to easily report
them.

And other changes, such as limiting eMail from accounts.

Not everything is in the Open Beta patch notes. But the speculation in beta
chatter is that temp/free trial accounts will not have permissions to send
eMail. The other is limiting eMail to level 10 and above.

Check the forums, which you can do as guest.

Ah, OK. Thanks.

I did it the old fashioned way.. wrote a note to support and sent them a pic
of the offence (complete with text message).

I hate spammers. I really do. Cheaters are one thing, I can work around
cheaters; but spammers.. man they piss me off to no end.

It's too bad they don't allow the option to have a hit squad show up at
their doorstep one night, you know, just to say "Hi" and pass out presents.

The problem with reporting this kind of thing is it's very hard to catch
them in the act.
They make a trial account, make a brand new character, (usually with a
bunch of random letters as the name,) spam a bunch of people and then
delete the character.
Even if they get traced, they just make another trial account.

What I once suggested be done is that they track things more closely (IE
snapshot accounts/characters, so that simply deleting a character does
not remove the evidence that it did belong to a particular account) and
then bill the offending spammer accounts one months subscription for
each and every reported spamming offence against them (screenshots as
you did.)
Since you have to use a game card or credit card to subscribe (even to
use the free month that comes with the game (or trial time) that would
hit them where it hurts, in the wallet, since they do this shit to make
money.)
Be hard to make money selling inf when every spam-burst costs you
hundreds of dollars.

Cryptic could also ban spammer credit cards in the event that they try
to dispute the charges.

Of course the simplest way to shut them down would be to block China's
IP block from using trial accounts, since damn near all of them are Chinese.

I think they should be crucified on national TV.
Inf spammers, porn spammers, stock tip spammers, viagra spammers, etc,
just nail them all up and televise their excruciating deaths as a
warning to all the others that think spamming is a good way to make
money.

The first thing they could do is block most commonly forms of the domain
name used from ANY email. Then seriously limit the number of emails
that can be sent to/from non-supergroup members. Neither will stop them
but they are here to make money and the harder you make it - the more
manpower they have to expend to advertise.
