I use xnews which is great for downing rock/metal
music and girl-meets-girl movies. But for posting
comments it's not so good.
So, what program do you use?

Phoenix and Iakovos: Which news reader

LOL Xnews is only good as a downloader. A better downloader yet is
GrabIt. Simply amazing and free.
I use Agent and have been using it for more than 5 years. It's really
the best. Nothing else comes close. I've tried them all (I get
frequently bored with software on my computer and feel the need to
experiment).

Phoenix and Iakovos: Which news reader
My e-mail server carries also ngs so I am using as a newsreader Outlook
Express,
which I find most convenient for my needs.
I did have Agent in my old pc but never used it actually.

Well... I did have Agent but discovered that the OE features are more easy
to follow...
but that depends on your news-reader.

OE is for little kids and girls.
Not to mention it has 1001 security vulnerabilties. And its a bad news
reader.
Agent is really powerful. Don't get daunted by its interface. It'll
take you about an hour to feel totally comfortable with Agent.
Did they fix this vulnerability in OE yet? I remember it used to be
quite a joke in the old times.
begin iakovos-virus.exe

Although I personally use Thunderbird now, I still have occasion to
download multi-part binaries off some private F1 newsgroups for which I
continue to use Outlook Express BUT with the immensely useful Fidolook
front-end.
Get it from http://www.fidolook.org
It makes decoding yEnc posted messages a breeze in OE.
Although untried, a lot of other users who were loyal Agent users now
recommend 40tude Dialog as their newsreader of choice. It appears to
have a better development cycle than others, is free and is seemingly
feature-packed.

OE is the most simple and relaxed tool available :P
Not for me at least.
What vulnerability you are talking about? Since '98 I never had any probs
with OE newsreader.

OE is pathetic as a newsreader. I use it as an email client though.
And I have been laughed at by "computer-savvy" friends for using it
for email. But its ok and it works. Of course, I take all the necessary precautions.
It was this flaw
begin flaw.exe
hi
end
Not sure if it still works.
Can you see the above lines? Or do you see an attachment?

Thanks for the tip. I'll look at that one.
I've always loved Agent's interface. And it doesn't need extra
software for yEnc decoding.
