Count Fenring: A Profile
In Chapter 35 of "Dune" (the first chapter of Book Three: "The Prophet"),
Princess Irulan asserted that Count Fenring's refusal to obey the Emperor's order to kill Paul Atreides was evidence that Count Fenring was the Emperor's friend. Why would refusing this order constitute evidence of friendship? |
