Caster's Realm and NetPal

Is anyone else effectively locked out of Caster's Realm because of this
thing?

The last 2 times I've gone there, NetPal pops up. It *will not* take NO for
an answer; if you click the X it simply pops up another window to tell you
that you have to click YES. The only way I've found to get rid of it is to
go into Task Manager and blow away IE.

Further, it also hijacks my home page, resetting it to some jackass place
I've never heard of and have no interest in.

Comes up fine for me - just the usual pop-up ads.

Netpal is spyware, and bad stuff... it's coming from your machine, not
Caster's Realm

Netpal is distributed by virus/trojan, among other methods. I recommend

Switch to Mozilla. It has excellent anti-popup support.

Microsoft can now claim to make the worlds default browser, but they
lost any real credibility at the claim they make the worlds best browser
a while ago. It lacks a couple features I consider a requirement now:
tabbed browsing, and no popups.

Mozilla kicks its butt. Opera is another decent browser, but its not
opensource and its not free.

Problem is, Caster's Realm is the only site where it pops up. Nowhere else.

Followed the identification doc here; nothing in my system related to NetPal.

Installed, ran, it identified a bunch of things (mostly cookies), none of
them being NetPal.

If I *do* end up with NetPal on my system, I just hope that AdAware does a
better job of removing it than it did with Globe Finder (which it was never
able to totally remove).

System gets scanned every night.

I've found Avant Browser (www.avantbrowser.com) to be superior to
everything I've ever used, and it's just a modification of IE.

It's free, you just get a banner ad at the top. I don't even notice it
anymore.
