Yes, he does.

That's right, it won't let you back in.

I don't remember.

You can learn laser from the "Dark Dragons" in the northern crater. They can
be manipulated, so just manipulate one and make it use it on your party.

As for limit breaks, you need to learn all the level 1, 2, 3 before you can
learn the final break. To learn Br1.2 you need to use Br1.1 10 times. Then
to learn Br2.1 you must kill about 80 enemies. To learn Br2.2 you need to
use Br2.1 8 times. Then kill another 120 enemies to learn Br3.1. Then use
Br3.1 6 times to learn Br3.2. Then use "Cosmo Memory" item on Red XIII and
he'll learn his last break.

To kill lots of enemies quickly, go to the forest south west side of Mt.
Nibel on the world map and fight enemies in that forest (on the World Map
remember!!!). You'll find groups of "battery caps" who often appear in
groups of 6. If you equip slash-all materia you can get the required number
of kills very quickly.

To use your first break in each level a lot, get your limit meter full in a
fight, then use the break. Skip everyone elses turn with Triangle button,
then use "Mime" to do the break over and over.

Hope this helps.

While I agree with all of your other advise, I should mention that I've
never managed to Mime a limit break.

Then you must be doing something wrong.

If you do _anything_ with another character (including defend) then the
mimer will do that. If you just wait till the limit users atb is full, then
press triangle twice, then mime, it will work.

Or it does every time I do it...

I've tried that. I've even tried killing my other party members.

Of course, I tried that on the PC version. I haven't tried it on the
PlayStation version, but I assumed they would be the same.
