Default FF X-2 Opening Sequence

So says Michael Falkner:

I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that, and maybe still consider the game for
Christmas. But if I hear ANY more nonsense about "transformation scenes",
that's it for FFX-2 for me.

add), 1 is of a person frowning (i.e. the only photo different than
the other 7). The book asks which photo your eyes are drawn towards,
and then it says 'most people are drawn towards the frowning face,
because people cognitively notice negative things more than
positive things'"

How far are you in the game? I'm averaging level 29 now -- though I
had to backtrack when I had Yuna fall into an inaccessible part of
that big machine down below Bevelle and get stuck!!!

(I'm at the end of Ch. 2)

Echo multipliers appear to be the mandatory situation in that one --
though Shinra likes to throw singles to break up the multipliers going
too high, from what I read in the Brady Games book (almost mandatory
to make sure you do everything)...

About 21 in now... Taking it nice and slow -- the monsters are hard
enough to begin with!!

Mike (Taking it fast would be suicide.)

So says Rob Browning:

That's it, it's game over for FFX-2.
Maybe I will get FFVII for Christmas instead. It's only like $10. Hah.

I've been considering replaying it again (played it three times
already). I've been hesitant, though. It seems like every RPG I've
played has at least one section/chapter which annoyed the hell out of
me, and makes me reluctant to replay it. The whole cross-dressing
escapade with Cloud was that way for me.

I've also got almost a dozen unfinished PS2 games, and a similar number
of PS1 games. I feel I should complete at least one of those before any
more replays.

Yeah, I've recently replayed FFVII and I've had similar fears before, in
fact with a lot of chapters and not just one (when I thought about the
progress of the game there didn't seem one part that I was looking forward
to anymore) I did however thoroughly enjoy playing it again for most of the
time..more than ever the translation struck me as being awful but it's still
the smoothest 'adventure' of them all, imo.. I would never play FFIX or
FFVIII again, in contrast.

I need to choose between buying MGS2 or Disgaea..

I played Disgaea recently. It does some things really well. Others, not
so well. Let me know if you want more info.

So says RogerM:

Same here. Everything before the escape from Midgar was like that for me, in
FFVII.

I remember shortly after starting the game fighting a hopping house. It
filled me with dread - "Oh God, I'm playing Mario RPG again!"

FF7's CGI cutscenes are so cool, though.
