Hey,

I'm new to this game. I'm 4 hrs into it and already lost. I recieved an
Animist. What do I do with this character? I don't know that weapon to use
or what clothes to put on him. Someone please help or at least push me in
the right direction for more information.

According to my store-bought guide, animists use musical instruments as
weapons.

You can go to the 'system' menu to set the game to show only equipment
which the selected character can equip.

In fairness, I buy all of my GBA games through eBay, where they go for
at least 50% off retail price (including shipping), but to save on
shipping costs, the sellers send the cartridge only: no box or manuals
included.

I initially had some questions about FFTA (because there are some
non-obvious things you would need to read the manual for), but instead
of posting here like a newb, I read an online guide at GameFAQ that
explained all of the game mechanics in more depth than even the manual.

It even tells you to press select to see available classes
