Well, stats, yes, poorly.... not so sure:

According to Allakhazam, there are 300,000 Japanese subscribers, and over
100,000 american subscribers, which puts them 2nd in popularity only behind
EQ.

So that's something like 400,000 copies sold. Anyone have number of copies
sold for FFX? FF8? FF7?

Shitloads :-). If I'm not mistaken, the rest have gone gold with 1 million
+ copies each.... but then again FFXI is online with a monthly fee, so of
course you wont' get as many.

We'll see how long that lasts in America.

Rob (not mentioning the fact that FF games normally sell millions of
copies)

the photos are of a person smiling (all identical photos I might
add), 1 is of a person frowning (i.e. the only photo different than
the other 7). The book asks which photo your eyes are drawn towards,
and then it says 'most people are drawn towards the frowning face,
because people cognitively notice negative things more than
positive things'"

averages out to over 3 million per game which also equals pretty shabby numbers
for FFXI so far but it's probably going to be the playstation release of the
game that makes or breaks so we'll see.
