Default Tech help with Forsaken

Boy, am I surprised to find this NG, and even more to find recent
postings.

I stumbled across my old CD of Forsaken and installed it. I've ran into
a problem. After getting through the 1st level (Volcano), the display
slows to less than 1 frame per second. Turning on the framerate display
show about 45-50 FPS but I see less than 1 FPS, with enemies visible or
not. I try turning down the eye candy but that didn't help.

My hardware is a P4 1.6, GeForce 2MX 200 (not a great card, I know. It's
OCed so that helps a bit), 512MB, with plenty of free disk space.

The CD came with a STB TNT 1 card in 1998. The only option available is
a Riva TNT. I downloaded the opt file from http://www.forsakenplanet.tk/ and it
doesn't have a GF2 file. Would one of the other GF files help my
situation?

Also, I noticed 2 patch files but there is no information about what
they patch. This is an unpatched version. Would one of these patches
help? BTW, the Demo can run at 300% speed with no problem.

It's great to see a nice site for this game. Once I get a feel for the
game, I'll come looking for players to frag .

OK, I got through the second level using GOD mode due to the framerate
problems I was having. The third level is displaying correctly with good
framerates.

On the third level I got all five switched thrown and found the crystal
but I can't find the exit. I'm now using god mode and searching for the
exit or maybe the reactor core, where ever that is. Any help is very
welcome.

You should have the GeForce textures and the GeForce opt file.
I have them if you want them.

You can go to the Microsoft Gaming Zone and then to CDrom Games...then
Directplay Room.
Most of the Forsaken players are in there.
