Default Supply Lines Mission

Can anyone give me a tip on this mission. I have only eliminated all 5
couriers once then ran out of fuel before returning to top of building.

I realize it is my skill level that keeps me from completing this mission
but I could use some help.

Thanks.

There seems to be several complaints on this mission. It will probably be
one of those missions you have to repeat until you get lucky enough to get
through it. I managed to hunt down the first closest two targets, and then
landed close to one of the other three targets. Luckily the last three were
converging on my parked position, so I just sat there and took them out
without using any fuel. Don't give up - it isn't skill that gets you through
this one - it is patience.

Here's how the mission breaks down:

90% is luck. The random number generator can line up the couriers or send
them all over the city.

10% is skill. Flying a straight line, not porpoising all over the place,
not overcorrecting, getting quick kills, etc counts for a lot, but only if
the luck part of it is already working in your favor.

The only "trick" is to check the map frequently, look for courier movement
patterns, and ditch unwinnable patterns quickly (that is, restart). I tried
everything. I glided, cycled power, drove the plane instead of flying, sat
around waiting for the couriers to drive nearby, etc. None of it worked. I
solved the mission when the couriers lined up like ducks, as luck would have
it.

Always hit the nearest target to you. Hit it from the ground. Taxi about on
the ground until you're directly behind it by two car lengths. Waiting 'til
the target is stopped at the traffic lights is best as it will try to get
away as soon as the first bullets hit - and it takes longer to get out of
your line of fire if moving off from a standstill.

Unless the next target is showing up on the rim of your radar, stay on the
ground while you taxi to it. If it's too far to taxi, get airborne and get
as close as you can while still being able to maintain a neat landing, then
taxi to the target.

Whenever you're in the air, don't keep your finger on the throttle. Just
keep the button down long enough to get into level flight, then tap it
periodically.

It's not a hard mission if you do it this way - I've finished with well over
half a tank of fuel left.
