Does anyone know when to collect the hidden packages, before or after buying
properties? I heard a rumour that guns etc. don't appear if you buy a house
after collecting the packages. I havn't had a chance to try this one yet, so
if anyone could verify this would be most grateful.

You should collect all the packages before you buy the Hyman Towers Condo
because if you purchase it before finding all the packages, the only weapons
that will spawn are the ones you've collected at the time you purchased the
condo.

That is only a PS2 bug. It was corrected on the PC version.

I believe with the PS2 you need to collect 70 packages before buying
Hyman Condo.

There is a slight bug with the PC version. When you buy Hyman your
recently acquired weapon through collecting hidden packages may not
spawn right away, like it will at V Estates and Ocean Hotel. But it will eventually.

I am using PS2 by the way. Does anyone know of any other significant changes
to the PC Version?

Supposedly, a bug that caused your save games to become farked when saving
at Cherry Poppers has been fixed, though I lost a save game once saving at
the Film Studio, so one way or another, that bug is still floating around in
the PC version as well. I've also heard that saving immediately after "The
Driver" is a bad idea, but it doesn't happen all the time, that much I know.
Lesson is: Always have multiple saves, so you only lose a few missions
instead if having to start over from scratch if the game decides to screw
you.

I'd advise you to make it a project to collect all the hidden packages
towards the very beginning of the game.

Apart from the potential bug issues, there is one other reason. At
some point, you're going to want to collect them all to get the Hunter
and 100% completion. No doubt you'll end up collecting a few as you
complete the missions. If you leave the collection to the end, if and
when you can't find one, you won't be sure whether you've collected it
or not.

I left the bulk until I'd completed all the main missions. When I
thought I'd collected them all, my stats page said I had two left. The
only solution was to revisit every site - twice! If you do them all
sequentially right at the start, you should only have to go round
once.
