Radeon 9600 pro, AA 4 AF8 and the game is still playable ???
My 9600 pro is great , though maybe my 2.5ghz mobile 2500 is doing
somthing. Ive read HL2 is more CPU intensive ??
Though it still stutters, might knock it down a notch or two any
recommendations on what AA and AF i should set it to ?
thanks.

Hi there. Just wondering: I have a Radeon 9600 Pro too, and I have a lot of
graphical glitches associated with the scenery textures. Chainlink fence is an
opaque purple & black texture, some floor and wall textures are black with
coloured splotches, the guard tower over the square is all white, there are
multicoloured pixels overlaying some textures (reflections?). Are you seeing
anything like that? Just wondering if it is associated with the card or not.
Catalyst 4.10 drivers in Win98SE.
Cheers.

Lots of people are complaining about the 4.10's. I use the 4.4's with
no problems (on XP though, I wouldn't touch 98SE ever again).

I've just bought XP, but haven't installed it yet. I was trying to stick with
the 4.1s, as they are recommended for IL-2 Forgotten Battles, one of my "main"
games. I only upgraded to try to solve this problem, but it is just the same.
That's why I suspect it isn't driver related, but I thought I would ask whether
other 9600 Pro owners are seeing these glitches.

Hi Paul,
Glad the rig is now together - sounds great BTW. See you havent
installed XP yet. When you do I'm having very good results with the ATI
4.12's (beta). You could also try the latest Omega's. This does sound
like a driver problem.
