What is this "XP" stuff that they want to dump at my trading
posts, and how do I see how much I have got?

The fact it comes without explanation or measurement suggests
that it is useless, so I instantly switch the trading post to accept
wood/food/coins which I know how to use. Am I missing something
important here?

(Oh, I checked at my local shop today and they tell me that the

XP - experience points.
When you get enough your circle clock thingamy whatsit goes all the way
round and you get your next shipment from your home town.

So when you set your trading post for XP it causes your next home shipment
to come quicker.

Thanks for that. I was getting shipments - presumably by picking
up XP's elsewhere - but I guess that I should try getting them
quicker.
