If you use the lab ray on your pets, how often has it changed your pet
from boy to girl or vice versa?

I seem to get that option way too many times

all in all, I usually get gains with hit points/defense, strenght, ect then

you could build one crazy pet if you didnt care what color species it ended
up as..

sometimes it happens all the time and sometimes it can take weeks

I only used it once. They mewled and cried and whined so much I didn't have
the heart to do it again. Then came the starry paintbrush, and the fire
paintbrush, and besides I was afraid of species changes....

So - I haven't answered your question or even said anything useful at all,

I can't give you numbers either, but if you're worried about ending up with
the perfect pet but wrong gender, or you just want to change a pet's gender,
you can also do it by using a (rather expensive) strange potion or (free) by
fighting the lab scientist in the battledome. he'll sometimes use the
strange potion on your pet in battles (this is the only lab change that he
does, i believe).
