Default Come in and join in on the fun on the USS Potemkin!

Sim Name: USS Potemkin
CO: Captain Warp <warp@usspotemkin.com>

Website address: http://www.usspotemkin.com/

Sim Information: The Potemkin is a post-DS9 Star Trek simulation that
takes place aboard an Akira-class starship. She has a rich history, a
close crew, and diverse plots that make the sim fun for everyone!

What positions do you need/want/require: We could use an assistant
medical officer and an assistant engineer. No needs/requires, just
wants.

Sim summary from the last plot:
The Potemkin investigated the Ri'al, an isolated people interested
in trade with the Federation. The crew began exploring the planet they
inhabited and discussed trade in preliminary negotiations before
discovering a surprise: the Ri'al, who had supposedly encountered no
alien species, were harboring thousands of Klingons, Bajorans, Bolians,
and members of dozens of other races. The biggest surprise was the
discovery of a Bajoran who looked very familiar, and turned out to be
the Potemkin's own first officer, Prax Jarvin.
The crew began investigating the circumstances on the planet and
could get no straight answers from the government. An away team
explored the underground city where the various species lived on the
planet while the command crew attempted to use diplomatic channels to
figure out where the aliens on the planet came from and how a duplicate
of Prax Jarvin came to live in the hidden city.
Eventually, the Ri'al government was forced to explain the
situation. The Ri'al were driven from their original planet by the Borg
and wandered for many years, developing advanced medical techniques
during their travels. They came across a Borg ship and found Ri'al
drones, but were unable to save them. Because the originals could not
be rescued, the doctors did what they could: clone them.
The Ri'al decided to "rescue" as many drones as possible and clone
any drone they came across. As a result, the underground city was
populated by the clones they created. The clones knew themselves as
Ri'al -- they were productive members of the society, experiencing no
oppression or discrimination. They didn't realize that they were not
from the world of the Ri'al.
The crew of the Potemkin departed without giving the Ri'al a
decision on the trade negotiations. Several were incensed by the
cloning, causing tension and nearly a fight before the crew beamed back
aboard the ship. The clone of Prax was returned to the surface to
continue his life as a member of Ri'al society.
