What do you want in a sim or group?

"I want to sim with an actual crew, not just one or two members"


The average staffing on an SLA game is around 12 members.
Many games have closer to 15 or 20 members and some even reach 40
members. You don't see ads from the SLA looking to fill all
positions or begging for crew. We have well staffed sims but would
always love to welcome new people into the community.


"I want a group where there are more than just separate games. I
want a community where people discuss things and have fun"


The SLA is a full community with around 400 members. The
community gets together at http://www.ten-forward.com to discuss sci-fi, world
politics and everything else. The community boards offer over 100,000
posts with an average of about 4 to 5 thousand posts a month.

"I want a game that's like the TV show. No Commodore or Admiral
commanding the ship. No Section 31 running everything. No 5 billion
years in the future. No 'what if the Dominion won the war?' I
want something like TNG or DS9."


The SLA offers several games set simply in the 24th century
onboard Starfleet vessels or Starbases and headed by a Captain. You
can join anything from an Akira to a Defiant to a Galaxy to a
Steamrunner class vessel and live the adventure you have enjoyed so
many times before. There are even games set during the Enterprise Era
or TOS! None of these have an Admiral sitting in the big chair and we
offer them in PBEM, MB, AOL/AIM and IRC!


"I want a group that offers more than just Star Trek!"

The SLA offers about 15 Star Trek sims, a half dozen
Stargate sims, three Enterprise Era games, a few Firefly and Star Wars
sims and even games set in the Wing Commander and Babylon 5 universes!
