Hello Folks,
New poster here so please be gently. I'm starting to create my own maps
and seem to run into a problem.. I think. I created only 4 minerall patches
set together in a square pattern with a vespene patch on each side. Each
patch set at 50,000.
Well it seems when the game is played that it takes the drones a long
time to collect the minerals. I can have 14 drones collecting minerals and
6 collecting vespene gas and the ones collecting the gas still collect more
faster. So i wasn't sure if it was the way I set up the minerals or lack of
them that created the issue I'm having.
If anyone has any opinions/suggestions for me they would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks for your time.

As a newb plz don't top post and we won't roast you. (Notice my reply is

Don't put minerals in a square - They belong in a line, or curve around your
CC (slighlt scattering them makes them look a little better, but is not
necessaryy) but with a direct line of path to each from the command center

Look at any of the blizzard maps a reference

If I'm not mistaken, he is trying to make a map with super mucho minerals
with the original map editor.

Tymm, in those mucho mineral maps, lots of minerals are being stacked
together and you can't use the original map editor to create it. I'm not
sure what kind of editor is being used though.

Well if he is using the conventional map editor he will need to do a Girl's
Guild bullshit thing

IF he is using some haxx0red map editor he will want to stack the minerals

Either way he isn't going to want them in a square

Nope I'm using the editor that came with the game. But my problem was
putting them in a square and putting the minerals in a line did help.
