Uhh... there's a null modem thingy. I used it once... but that was with a
serial cord. Macs don't have serial ports. If you're doing a crossover
ethernet connection, that would be using UDP... I think...

UDP = "User Datagram Protocol" (more than you could ever care to know about
UDP: http://www-net.cs.umass.edu/kurose/transport/UDP.html )
