Play Broodwar via TCPIP

I am trying to play broodwar via Internet (TCP-IP) but not via
battle.net. It is easy to get it work via IPX/SPX on my lan but there
is no option to type a specific IP to connect with a friend.

Is somebody know how to do it?

Help will be grately appreciated.

As far as I know there is no way to do that, but you can use Hamachi, a
virtual LAN over internet, so to say. Download here:
http://www.hamachi.cc/download
It works for Windows XP/2000.
