"Age of Empires 3" always freezes the computer

On my new "ixtreme Gold H5409 Power Cinema TV+" by Packard Bell
(vidéo card ATI X600 DVI,on slot PCI Express, 256 Mo DDR), the game
"Age of Empires 3" always freezes the computer.Is there any explanation?

Please see my reply to Mel Cooley. AOE III was made for the Windows XP
Gaming system they put out to make the Windows XP compatable for games.
If you don't have it, then it won't work properly.
