The question is, if he would be able to use a code anyway.
As far as I have understood it, the system generates a code
based on the specific system, so the code you get is unique
for that system.
Didn't someone once mention that after formatting, they
couldn't even use the legitimate code they purchased, but
had to contact Rick for a new one?

Yes, Heidi, you are right. After reformatting or purchasing a new computer,
the old code that you legitimately paid for will have to be renewed by Rick
Halle. Fortunately, he is a great guy and takes legit requests seriously.

Is it just me, or are there more and more pirates in this group? Do
they have some sort of collective IQ? As more pirates are added, their
average intelligence drops, and we end up with the likes of these
fellas...

it's something like $15 US which was like 24 dollars AUS and I really liked
the program so I brought it..
I know times are tough for some people but it's such a good program and when
I had to format my computer I emailed
Rick and he gave me a new code...that was really nice of him.
If you use a program and you really like it...why not pay for it?
especially one that is pretty cheap ..and if you look it another way... it's
also helping out a little guy...
a small time programmer.
it's not Microshaft of anything...he really can't afford to not get paid for
his work.
