you forget to reference (give credit to) the web site(s) you got you information from.
Nice Compilation of a lot of other Tomb Raiders work. You really should give credit to
other sites and not just say "mirror site".

Mr. Walton will give out his email address when he sees fit to. You could be an enemy of
Paul's for all I know.
If you called me on the telephone, I certainly would NOT give you his phone number - why
should this be any different.

a lot of new web sites think that since the other Tomb Raider sites are so "old"
established and un changing - the new guy on the block thinks he can just take the
information for his own. sorry.

What info about TR savegames where you trying to find?

Hello Jeff,

well I wouldn't know what icecube is up to. I just looked around his site
after his request from me for Paul's email address.

I would suspect he wants to include Paul's Tomb Raider work there at his web
site. As far as intellectual property I would say all he should be able to
do is make a fancy links page with pictures. I do not see a reference to
anybody's Tomb Raider work there at all.

i would think his site should end up looking like my
http://www.smokeypoint.com/links.htm web page.
or he could even end up with a save game editor page looking like
http://www.smokeypoint.com/tr2code.htm

and NOT just a page referencing the above aforementioned information and
list that as a "mirror site" with no credit to the authors or links to their
sites.

his email is listed in the top post in this thread if you opinion differs
and you wish to help him.

Thanks for answering my email.

On the subject of the "mirror host", please note that my link sends to
your page, it does not link directly to Paul Walton's file.
And I did not upload the file to my site as I could have done. Others
have done that, that's a fact, but not me.
Therefore I'm not stealing from an "old" site, I'm actually directing
people to it, which I think is the right thing to do.

Since I'm directing people to your site, I do not understand the
"credits" issue at all, but I deleted the offending "mirror host" words.
Special mention would make sense if I had uploaded the file to my site,
to state its origin, but that is not the case.
Anyway, please accept my appologies for upsetting you with this subject,
that was not my intention.
I thought I was doing right.

On the Paul Walton's email, I agree with you. You should not give me his
email.
I'm just asking for help, that's all.
If you are available to help me out, please give my email to Paul
Walton, and please let him decide.
That's what I would do if it was the other way around.
(I've 52 years of age, I know how the World works...)

From a Delphi programmer (Paul Walton) to another Delphi programmer
(myself), I'm sure we can understand each other quite well, given the
opportunity. All I'll be asking Paul Walton is information on the
savegames file formats. By looking into my site he will evaluate my work
as a programmer (under the nickname IceBerg ) and he will decide if he
wishes or not to help me out, or if I am a dangerous alien species.
That simple.

Whichever your decision is, I'll accept it as is.
A call for help is just that - a call for help.
