Default outlands / Tonk attack

Well, among the the two amusing things i learned this past week was
deadmines-blink-outlands trick.

The outlands bit can be viewed by a mage.

1) Zone into deadmines
2) Turn around
3) Blink through portal
4) Find blue thing on the left (the right is also something, but is a
deadly fall)
5) Light feather
6) Go into blue thing
7) Use something that allows underwater breathing, or do the next step
immediately.
8) Swim up.
9) Go east hugging the wall (fatigue bar goes on and off)

Eventually you hit land and see the sparklies and the floating trees,
not much, but its nice. Further on leads to an invisible wall. Jusping
down by the trees is death, even when light feathered. If you died
there, zoning into DM rezzes.

Isn't this sort of exploit grounds for banning? I remember reading a
thread a year ago about people being banned for going into undeveloped
areas.

Floating trees look like a preview image.

Yeah?

Don't know. Someone showed it to me.

If so, Blizzard needs to loosten up a bit. They seem to have a problem
admitting they are not infallible.

I think it was "Brian Tkatch" <Maxwell_Smart@ThePentagon.com> that

The banning for going into unfinished area's that I heard of, was when
the area had creatures in it, but they didn't have any AI at the time,
so you could just cruise around slaughtering them and getting *heaps*
of XP.

Ah, ok, that almost makes sense.

Last night i checked out under Stormwind.

1) Go to gryphon in SW.
2) Go to east window
3) (Carefully) drop down to first ledge
4) Go to east corner
5) Run/jump up to ledge (on par with gryphon platform)
6) Run/jump up hill
7) Go on platform with the big rook
8) Jump over.

This puts someone "under" stormwind akin to some people see when
blinking in SW for a moment. People are walking on your head (well,
much higher) and the like.

To get out:

1) Go up the hill near "entrance" (path on NW side)
2) Go north until the "water"
3) Keep going up

You end up in the valley of heroes, in the water.

I used Blink at some point, i am not sure if that helped. There was no
underwater breathing bar at any point.
