Default PvP vs PvE

------ 8< snip ------

see my comments on corpse campers... it matters not whether they are alliance or horde.

i have no problem with ganking... i have indulged in some myself when XR
has been raided and fully expect to gank and be ganked when the level 10
rogue i rolled on a pvp server ventures out into the big, bad world

It doesn't take long to get to 60, after which you run are shit out of
excuses and start to realise the reason you keep dying is actually because
you suck.

The current PvP system is fine, some people are just not cut out for a PvP
server and would do better on a blue server with controlled PvP. Besides,
60's are not gods. Me (38 warlock at the time) and three level 37 rogues
took out a 60 Palidin this week. Since I was the only one left standing (on
a slither of life) I got good honour points for that as well. Just tonight
there were a bunch of ?? greifing around Tarren Mill. I kept sending imps on
kamikaze missions till they got pissed off and followed me too far in:
**bam** feared one into bunch of guards. His mates tried to help him out so
they got routed to.

It isn't always fair and the playing feild is rarely even, but regardless,
you use the tools availiable to you to do your best and hope there is still
someone else standing who can finish the job when you die. If you want fair
sport and a level playing feild, join a BG. You wont even have to leave the
comfort of a blue server.

You can win against ??, but if you never resist you will never see this for
yourself.

This isn't a one on one duel - you have a whole world around you teaming
with mobs, guards, fellow faction and opposing faction who can tip the
balance either way at any time. Stand and fight because victories are made
and not found.

When you die, then it is time to take a breather and report precise details
to /3 (zone defence channel). If you report exact classes, levels and
precise location, chances are when you come back to res you may be just in
time to help the corpse camp of the people who got you and were planning
corpse camping you.

Actually I don't agree that it is. However, the 13 year olds seem
to thinks so.

it's power and control, I'm no psychologist but my guess is it's related to
the fact that in RL they don't have any sort of access to those feelings.

No, this game is about Blizzard making money and I have no problem with
that. If you have people always ganking you then the game is no longer fun
and the "gankees" will move on to other games for enjoyment. I have no
problem losing to a person who is around my lvl but I have a big problem
with the gankers.

Sigh! If you have problems with me running through and one shotting
you, roll on a PvE server. PvP is about survival of the fittest, and at
a low level you're not the fittest.

Do you think that maybe that is why there are two different server
rulesets? So people like yourself and people like the poster you were
replying to can BOTH have fun?

Cheers!
David...

Or move to a blue server for chrissake, that is what they are there for.
There are plenty of us who like the open warfare nature of red servers and
that is exactly why Blizzard have them in addition to the blue servers.

It is not a criminal offence to have an options availiable for others that
you do not persoanlly endorse, though I know you may find this hard to
believe.

Depends on a lot of things. The peon you spare this minute may kill a dozen
of your lower level brethren just down the road.

I don't carry any hard and fast rules, but I will take quite a few things
into consideration inclusing the relative levels of the rest of our guys in
the zone, how contested the spot is, and whether the area is a nexus for
quests/quest mobs. I am also a lot more relaxed outside of peak hours.

Yesterday on two seperate occasions I waved at a 37 mage (had no chance- I
had a fellhunter up and have improved mana drain) yet stepped off my horse
to swat some greys later on that night. Some idiot alliance was spamming "y
o u l o s e" in yell for over half an hour, so I thought some collective
pnishment was in order.
