Default WarCraft 3 TFT no CD patch name?

I can find the file easy enough if I know the file name. Anybody
know what the WarCraft 3 TFT no CD filename is? I found some small
MDF/MDS files but I don't know what to do with them.

Thank you.

disclaimer... I bought the game but my CD drive doesn't always
recognize the CD when I start up the game and I don't want to
continue messing with it. I'm practicing before playing online. In
my opinion, requiring a valid CD key for online play is a good idea,
but the other stuff is nonsense.

worked for me.

It is 1226025 bytes big.

I think MDF is the cd image format of alcohol 120. They have a trail
version :-)

If that's not too much trouble, could you please (assuming
Windows)...

Right-click -- properties -- version -- original filename

.... and see if there is a different filename.

Thanks.

Filenames on ISP user web pages is where I look, long filenames are
not a problem, but usually the names have no spaces. I think they
usually use underscores or hyphens.

I think the files TKX pointed me to are going to work fine.

It's all good, not having to watch the icon wondering whether the
stupid thing is going to load or say it can't find the CD. I have a
newish DVD writer, I would have thought it could find the CD easily
enough, but oh well. It was a pain in the rear.

As far as I know, the only protection that works is them requiring a
CD key in order to play online. The rest of it is like jumping
through hoops and makes ordinary legitimate users appreciate a
hacker's workaround. They may as well require a connection every
time you start the game. I guess some people hate that idea, but in
my opinion (having DSL) it would be better than having to insert the
CD (if I ever don't have DSL/cable, I'll probably think otherwise).
But even with an always-on connection then you would have to
cope with Internet congestion, the game publisher server's
workload/reliability, and maybe other things.

Have fun.

Well, if this cd patch was on a web page the spaces would have been
replaced by unicode. %20 usually does the trick :-)
