Default st John's wort id (have tea)

Hi Everyone,
First of all I am amazed at all the info I recieved here, this is a great
group,I have lurked here for a wile, and one of the first things I learned
was to make sure I know what plant I am dealing with. Now comes my problem,
I need to identify a St. Johns Wort plant, and when I do a search with
google, I don't get any good pictures to compare with my plant, I also would
like to know some of the charistics of the plant to make sure I identify it
correctly. I am having a great time with the small garden of herbs, and the
list here is adding to that pleasure. Thank you in advance for pointing me
in the correct direction, and would appreaciate any help for preparing the
herb for use in tea.

Default st John's wort id (red flower)

For some photos of hyperi*** (st. john's wort scientific name) start
here:
http://www.ibiblio.org/herbmed/pictures/p07/pages/hyperi***-ascyron-1.htm
and wander around.

For uses of it, try google groups advanced search and this group's
name and put in st. john's wort as words to look for. You'll find out
more than you thought it possible to learn about a plant.

If it doesn't stain your fingers red when you pick the flower, you've
got the wrong time of picking or the wrong flower, as near as I recall
the info on it I've read.
